A winery is defined by four key conditions — the right land, the right grapes, the right equipment and the right winemaker. Honsberger Estate is very fortunate to have all four.


Cabernet Franc, our main red grape grown on the Estate, as a wine is renown for its fine tannins, spicy aromas, peppery accents, violet nuances and an understated elegance plus some serious red and black berry (mainly blueberry, raspberry and sometimes plum) flavour.


Riesling, our white grape, as a wine can be highly aromatic with apple, peach and pear at the forefront mixed with delicate floral undertones and often honey and spice on the nose.


Kelly Mason, our winemaker, loves the idea of making wine from grapes off of one, and only one property (that has been in a family for generations). And the property at Honsberger is a perfect fit for her talents.
